How do chage from an Eimco Carousel to a Schreiber Retrievable duffused air system in a single basin system in 5 days?

Why change from a splasher aerator to a fine bubble diffused air system?

The original facility design is a single basin Eimco Carrousel unit.  A winter prevailing northerly wind spread sewage mist over the operations buildings and operational personnel.  A need for additional oxygen required the need for additional "retrievable diffusers" to be added to the basin.  Unfortunately, the design of the retrievable diffusers, even though they met specification, failed in their operation.  Diffusers failed and a boom truck was needed for inspection.  Increased production of the facility was required.

Foam has always been a problem at the facility probably due to the fixed aeration/mixing equipment.

The Schreiber system replaces the aerator and previous air diffusion.  New Aeration allowed for improved plant performance and no splasher aerator and misting.  The constant noise of the splashing aerator will not be missed by the operators.  Ahh, peace and quiet!!

By replacing the previous equipment in three days, the design and performance has meet expectations.  Our plant has increased capacity and our system will have lower O&M costs.  Also, we do not have wastewater sewage mist on our vehicles and operations building.

Improved air pattern increase mixing and DO control in the basin.
